Sacerdos in æternum
On the the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 3rd June 2016, Rev. Fr. Paul-Isaac Franks was ordained a priest at St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary, Winona, Minnesota, U.S.A..
Priest for eternity
About 3300 faithful assisted at the ceremony in which 7 priests and 9 deacons were ordained by His Lordship Bishop Alfonso de Galerreta in the presence of Bishop Bernard Tissier de Mallerais.
The event was the climax of seven years of preparation for Father Franks and is the beginning of an extraodrinary life of grace at a critical time in the history of the Church.
In his sermon, Bishop de Galarreta reminded us that only Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life. A priest is an Another Christ, which means that in the exercise of his triple office of governing, teaching and sanctifying souls, he must direct souls upon the right path, teach them the truth and give them supernaturtal life by offering the Sacrifice of the Mass and administering the sacraments. He can best accomplish this great task by putting himself close to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Bishop de Galarreta also spoke of the "unimaginable" situation in the Church in which the errors of the Second Vatican Council have effectively denied Christ as the Way. the Truth and the Life.
