Canterbury Pilgrimage

July 29 - July 31, 2016
Rochester to Canterbury

This is our biggest pilgrimage of the year which takes us through holy sites and beautiful countryside with many prayers and much laughter. No need to subscribe.

Friday 29th July 1:30pm: Pilgrimage starts at Rochester Cathedral
Sunday 31st July 6pm: Pilgrimage ends at 6pm at St. Augustine's Abbey

It is best to come by public transport. LATEST 23/7/16: Leaving your car at Dover might be problematic due to delays at the port which have caused traffic jams on the roads approaching Dover.

Camping both nights. If you have a tent, please bring it, otherwise a communal, segregated marquee is provided (with groundsheet). You must bring a sleeping bag and perhaps a sleeping mat and warm clothes.

Please bring your own lunches on Saturday & Sunday.  Breakfasts and dinners are provided from our celebrity kitchen.

A van is provided for transporting luggage from Rochester and between campsites. During the walk, it is a good idea to carry light rainwear, and to bring along sweets/nuts/raisins/apples or other high energy foods. Support teams will assist at the frequent breaks with water, sugar or a lift to the next campsite for weary pilgrims.

Please bring as many beautiful banners as possible.

Only £20, other donations gratefully received as we always make a loss (funded by St. George's House)
